President's Message
September-October. Hurricane Isabel in September and an out-of-town guest speaker in October scrambled plans for the first Chapter meetings of the 2003-2004 season. September's meeting was cancelled on short notice -- apologies to those who bravely swam or boated to the Milleridge. At the October meeting, I presented the material I had prepared for September, debriefing members on this year's International Appraisal Conference in Tampa, FL. November. Back on schedule in November, we had a good turnout, interesting talks by guest speakers Edward Donnelly and Stephen Linker (see the Calendar for details), and a visit from Timothy Griffith, ASA, last year's NJ Chapter President. Tim, who is a candidate for the Regional Governor's chair being vacated by Paul Roberts, ASA, talked briefly, committing himself to follow Paul's lead in attending Chapter meetings and staying accessible. December. Announcements are in the mail for our traditional December Holiday Party and Auction. Hopefully, no storms, and certainly no out-of-town speakers will impact this one. The December meeting is strictly a social event, although convivial business networking is allowed. Bring the family and friends, and don't forget a gift for the auction. P.S. The Auction benefits our Chapter's longstanding Scholarship Fund which helps qualified individuals achieve their educational goals. Chapter V.P. Kevin E. Boland, ASA and his committee will report on the fund shortly. Regards, | ||||||||||
